Website privacy

Updated 3 October 2026. This notice covers the public Ritoko website, not your local plugin workflows.

Your choice

Optional website measurement starts only after you choose “Allow statistics”. You can withdraw that choice using “Privacy settings” at the bottom of the page. Declining does not restrict use of the site. Browsers requesting Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control are excluded from measurement.

What we measure

We use our own deployment of Umami to understand visits and improve the site. With your permission it records page paths, referring site origins, browser language, screen size and predefined interactions: sections viewed, demo choices, video progress, GitHub clicks and installation copy-button clicks. Counts are approximate and do not establish that you installed Ritoko.

We do not record sessions, mouse movements, form contents, clipboard contents, email addresses, URL queries or URL fragments. We do not assign an account identifier to website visitors. Umami processes network metadata, including the IP address and browser user agent, to derive visit statistics; this is not a claim that all processing is anonymous.

Hosting and access

The site and analytics application are hosted on Vercel. The analytics database is a dedicated Neon PostgreSQL project in Frankfurt. The dashboard requires authentication and is not publicly shared. Data is used to evaluate the site, not to sell visitor profiles or run advertising.

Vercel and Neon also process operational data needed to host and secure these services. Their infrastructure and support may involve processing outside the EU. See Vercel’s privacy policy and Neon’s privacy policy.

Storage and retention

Your choice is stored locally in your browser as ritoko-analytics-consent. A separate local preference may store the selected site theme. No advertising cookies are added. Our daily retention job deletes detailed analytics records older than 90 days; database backups can persist until their provider’s retention window expires.

Local workflows

This website integration does not add telemetry to the Ritoko plugin. Its workflow files and execution journal remain governed by the plugin’s local operation and the tools you configure.
